East Africa fintech startup Beyonic announced that the company has been acquired by MFS Africa. MFS Africa operates Africa’s largest digital payments hub, connecting more than 200 million mobile wallets on the continent.  Beyonic deliver multi-country business tools for secure domestic disbursements and collections.

Through this partnership, Beyonic will provide its customers with an impressive new set of capabilities and extend cross border digital payments to SMEs throughout Africa. The combined company will continue connecting businesses to mobile transaction networks and banks in over 35 countries in Africa and 60 globally.

As multi-cultural, pan-African payments companies, Beyonic celebrates inclusiveness and diversity and its businesses, by their nature, build bridges. When Beyonic was started, the main goal was to move “business beyond cash” and be at the helm of Africa’s digital renaissance. Today, this goal still aligns perfectly with MFS Africa’s mission to make borders matter less for payments.

Beyonic remains fully committed to its customer’s success and will be focusing on expanding shared products for many years to come.
